Answers to the most common questions about our security services in Auckland.

CCTV
This depends on the size and layout of your property and the coverage you need. A typical residential property requires 4 to 8 cameras. We'll assess your site and recommend exactly what's needed. No overselling.
Yes. All our CCTV systems include mobile app access, so you can view live footage and recorded clips from anywhere in the world on your smartphone or tablet.
Yes. We install Hikvision ColorVu cameras that capture full-colour footage even in complete darkness using advanced light-gathering technology. No grainy black-and-white images.
Storage duration depends on the number of cameras, resolution, and hard drive size. Most systems are configured to store between 14 and 30 days of continuous footage. We size the storage to meet your requirements.
Wired systems (PoE) use network cables for both power and data. They are more reliable and better suited to permanent installations. Wireless cameras are easier to install in locations where cabling is difficult but require a stable Wi-Fi signal. We'll recommend the right approach for your property.
Yes. Our video intercom systems integrate directly with your CCTV network, allowing you to see, speak with, and grant access to visitors remotely from your smartphone.
Alarm Systems
An unmonitored alarm sounds a local siren and sends you a push notification. A monitored alarm also connects to a 24/7 professional monitoring centre that can dispatch a response if you're unreachable. We offer both options.
Yes. Our alarm systems support remote arming and disarming via smartphone app. You'll also receive push notifications for every event, so you're always informed.
All our alarm panels include a backup battery that keeps the system running during a power outage, typically for 8 to 24 hours depending on the panel. We can also arrange regular battery maintenance as part of a service plan.
Wired systems are harder to tamper with and don't rely on radio signals, making them the preferred choice for new builds or renovations where cabling is straightforward. Wireless systems are ideal for existing properties where running cables would be disruptive or expensive. They're quick to install and just as reliable when installed correctly. We'll recommend the right option based on your property.
Modern alarm systems use passive infrared (PIR) sensors with pet immunity and advanced signal processing to minimise false alarms. Proper placement and commissioning by a licensed technician is key, and that's exactly what we provide.
Yes. We install systems that integrate with smart lighting, smart locks, and CCTV cameras, turning your alarm into a fully connected security ecosystem.
Access Control
We install systems that support a wide range of credentials including smartphone (Bluetooth/NFC), RFID cards and fobs, PIN codes, and biometric options such as fingerprint and facial recognition.
Yes. Our access control platforms allow you to configure time-based access schedules for individual users or groups. For example, you can allow staff access only during business hours.
Yes. Every access event is logged with the user, door, and timestamp. Logs can be viewed in real time or exported for reporting and compliance purposes.
Access control systems can be configured to fail-safe (unlock) or fail-secure (remain locked) during a power outage depending on your requirements. Battery backup can also be added to maintain operation for several hours.
Yes. Integrating access control with CCTV allows you to automatically retrieve the camera footage associated with each access event, making audits and incident investigations much faster.
